We have investigated the service record for 1821 Peter Corry. It appears that he was discharged from the Manchester Regiment on 1 October 1912, which is why he is not included in Lives of the First World War. If he re-enlisted, or served under a different name, then you can search for these details. Thank you.

    Hi all,

The link that was directing to beta.lives has now been fixed.

    Best,
    Simon

Paul - can I confirm which web browser you are using?

    Thanks,
    Simon

    Hi Alison,

You don't have to pay to add facts to the site. If you subscribe to other sites, simply add the references in from those sites as an "External Reference".

    Hope this helps,
    Simon

    Hi Trevor,

We haven't finished seeding Life Stories from seed sets (Royal Marines will be on the site shortly for example, followed by further RNVR and RNAS Life Stories).

The forum helps us keep track of the missing Life Stories, and help those struggling to find one. Best bet is to wait until the all the scheduled Life Stories from the Navy and Marines are on site. I'll be in touch when they are, so we can see which Life Stories are still missing.

We are working through these as fast as we can.

    Hope this helps,
    Simon

    Hi Richard,

Sorry to hear the link hasn't been working - I'll raise this with the the development team.

Can I ask which version of Outlook you are using?

    Thanks,
    Simon

Hi Linda - as that's his personal email address, we're going to delete your post listing it publicly, but glad you're in touch with the right person. Best of luck with your future talks!

Hi Linda - sorry, as you're such a regular user and poster we made a bit of an assumption!

There are a few different ways to get in contact with customer care, and they all go to the same place:
    - click 'contact support' on the right hand side of any of the support forum pages
    - send a message via the corner-of-the-page question mark on the main site
    - email support@livesofthefirstworldwar.org

We'd be happy to pass a message on, but of course we don't know how many leaflets you'd like, when you'd like them, or what your address is - and that's information we'd advise you not to post publicly! Hope that helps clear things up.

Hi Linda - if you'd like leaflets about Lives of the First World War, send a message to the customer care team who'll be able to pass you on to the right person and arrange something for you.

Hi Janice - there are at least two possibilities; both called Francis Murphy and both born in 1892. Are either of these two the right man?

Hi anonymous - that's correct, this information has not been added automatically.

The process of matching up fields of data can be quite complicated, and automatically matching as many CWGC entries as we already have was quite a task.

As the extra information attached to CWGC data can vary widely depending on what the family provided, it's not possible to match up every piece of information; if there's someone you're researching, it's very simple to use their CWGC entry to add a couple of extra facts yourself (for example the next of kin or family's address).

Hi there - as we mentioned on your other thread, this is his Life Story: https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/6187819

We managed to find this after another relative of his posted some more details that helped with the search.

If you'd like to upload pictures, you can go to that Life Story page and click 'Upload an Image' (in dark blue, on the right hand side under Contributors, Latest Records, then Latest Images).

If you'd like to upload family stories, you can select 'Share a Story' (underneath the image link).
