Fred, You've made a great start - Plenty of Evidence :-) :-) I'm sure you could add some Facts from them too - how come you haven't? A good long Story. But why haven't you Remembered him? - just left click on "Remember" ;-) All the best RB

Sorry you have now created a duplicate - my error - but already https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/122880 [formerly incorrectly recorded as Bagshawe] - has same address in 1919 AVLs 231 Huddersfield Road, Stalybridge.

Thanks very much for the lead to Bagshawe - further research has identified that Bagshawe actually should be BAGSHAW (1911 Census - clear record & signature)

Got to admit the MIC and Pension record match ASC #M/41722. The Pension record with its Leen Side, Nottingham, address is very persuasive with its ASC serving in the North Midlands - and now the AVL and its LC NC [Labour Corps Northern Command]. Think it is likely to be, but not conclusively, the same man - more digging required to definitively confirm I guess but think we should go with it for the time being. Thanks :-)

Yes, I do think it is the same man. An excellent spot by you! Always good to have a fresh set of eyes look at things. :-) I did know about the post-war "75" digit service numbers but the GWF is a great place to help research :-) Thank you. :-) :-)

He already has a LS - might have been the M.C. that caused you to miss it https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/849826

So good eh? Don't know why, didn't seem to go the first time - got a weird message in my e-mail box - obviously went and the second time too! - but thanks for merging.
