William Colin Andrews
William Colin Andrews was born 15/07/1875 and lived in West Lane, Emberton, Olney, Buckinghamshire. He enlisted at Bletchley Recruiting Office 11/12/1915 and his Short Service Attestation paper can be found at #https://ancestry.co.uk British Army WW11 Service Records 1914-1920. The paper was then signed at Oxford on 23/3/1916. He has 2 regimental numbers 25383 & 93010. Started Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry and I believe later moved to the Pioneer Corps. Saw service in France. He married on 17/10/1917 to Sarah Annie Underwood at Emberton, and he died there in 1959.

Although William was 40 yrs old, he joined up after his brother Frank Andrews 4782 was killed 13th May 1915.
He also only had 1 lung, he had contracted typhoid when working in Sheffield some years before war broke out..
