Hi Liz, I tend to agree with you regarding 'Humphrey' as there doesn't seem to be any other records with this name. These have now been merged with https://livesofthefirstworldwar.org/lifestory/2935682 as the primary and I will leave you to add 'Humphrey' from the duplicate record if you think fit but his name is only Victor on the original Medal Roll!
To clarify, I have found a Victor Marshall with this service number in the POW records - birthplace Marston Trussell near Market Harborough, Leics, mother Emma. Following on I found his birth registration as Ernest Victor Marshall, 1901 census with family as Ernest V and 1911 with family as Victor in same village - Marston Trussell.
Therefore I think the later addition of “Humphrey” to one of the MICs was an error and I think they should be merged with the plain Victor as the primary.
Ive just checked the MICs and think that actually the "Humphrey" was added later and perhaps a mistake.
Could you make the plain Victor Marshall the primary please?
Sorry for any confusion
Can you please keep Victor Humphrey Marshall as the primary please as I'm adding to his story? Thanks
